It’s officially summertime in Texas! Memorial Day is over, graduations are done, and many family events that were planned are now concluded, so what are you going to do now? Things have finally begun to open back up, so here are a few suggestions to help keep you and your family occupied during these warm months.
The Thompson Hotel. Located on the North Riverwalk, this is a great place to go for those who are new to San Antonio and the hill country. From here, you can walk to the missions, check out the riverwalk, and just have a good time in general.
The Pearl. Here you can find the farmers market, lots of local eateries, places to shop and much more. The Pearl is great for a day trip.

Fiesta 2021. If you have kids and you’re looking for something fun and different to do, Fiesta takes place in June this year. It’s normally held in April or May, but it was pushed back to June 17 to 27. Click here for more information.
Hyatt Hill Country Resort, Six Flags, and Seaworld are great theme parks that would make a great outing for you and your family.
Fredericksburg. There’s been a lot of rain this year, so the wildflowers at Wildflower Wild Seed Farms are fabulous this time of year. On top of being a beautiful drive, 290 Wine Shuttle has distilleries, wineries, shopping, and great places to eat. Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls has strawberry picking activities, as well as all their delicious strawberry products, pony rides, and craft activities. And when it gets hot, there are several options for water-based fun to help you cool off. You can tube the Guadalupe, hang out at Lake Travis in Austin, visit Canyon Lake, and many other locations.
All in all, there’s something for everyone here in Texas, and much of it is located within an hour’s drive. If you have any questions or need other recommendations for summer fun in the Lone Star State, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’d love to help you.
